Where did you get your information? I MUST KNOW! O______O
what are you looking for ?
Check out my "Bibliography" page for the sources used on this website. Hope this helps.
Please list the earth's layers in order....Here are the layers I need-
inner core, outer core, mantle, asthenosphere, lithosphere, crust, atmosphere, and hydrosphere
They are in order. The ones not on this site out of those are Hydrosphere and Atmosphere. Other then that all the ones you've listed are in order under "Earth's Inner Layers".
Is the earth's core getting hotter or colder?
Recent discoveries by scientists have shown that Earth's core seems to have gained around 1000 degrees Celsius since the 1990s so it seems to be getting more and more hot.
What is the Author's name, and when it was published?
Author is me, Riley. This site was first published back in 2011/2012 and I have added bits and pieces to it since then.
the outer core is not the 2nd layer of the earth just to tell you....... and I'm in 6th grade!
mystery man, did you even read the article right?
Just wanted to say thanks this was really helpful
What is some fun facts about the earths layers
Crust: This layer is the one you walk on and it is always moving beneath you.
Mantle: Makes up 84% of the earth. Also composed of two smaller layers.
Outer Core: Provides the earth with the magnetism that allows compasses to work.
Inner Core: A solid metal ball so hot it melts everything in the outer core without melting itself.
temp of crust
Temperatures start at 200°C and can rise to 400°C. The temperature is different throughout the crust.
So when did tou get the idea of helping kids with such a subject and why science and not math or language arts or even civics
This site was actually a project for my 7th grade class. Mine still receives a great number of views so I decided to keep it up. The project was to create a website based on earth sciences
hi um i would like to know how asthenosphere and lithosphere fit into the earth's layers.
how do inner core be so hot
thanks SO MUCH!!!!
What happened to sea floor spreading?
The information on the layers of the earth is very in depth and informative. Thanks
What causes the thickness of the crust to vary
What is the radius of the earth ?
your all babys
As mentioned in the crust thickness, that the thickness of oceanic crust is 10 km and from the edge of continent the thickness of continental crust is 60 km. As we know that the challenging depth of the ocean is 36,200 feet (11.03376 km) (Southern end of Mariana trench). So my question is, why is there a gap of 39 km (127953 feet) ? Thanks
